THE YMCA TOY LIBRARY

The YMCA Toy Library promotes the welfare of children with special needs through toys that are safe for children. Such toys are selected from those available in the market and home-made toys (soft-toys).

The Toy Library seeks to provide stimulation leading to growth and development of children's creativity, skills and understanding of his/her environment and social development.

Realising this need, the YMCA toy Libray for children with special needs was launched in 1997 and officiated by Yg. Bhg. Dato' Dr. Lee Lam Thye. The Toy Library is an extension of our programme with the Deaf Community, to promote the develoment and well being of children with special needs through toys and play. The library provided the opportunity to help these children develop self-confidence, discipline, and independance to cope in life.
