The Boys' Brigade is an international movement
with companies in more than 60 countries. The Founder, Sir William
Alexander Smith started the oldest uniform group for young people
in 1883. In Malaysia, the movement is recognised by the Ministry
of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Education as an approved
ECA (Extra Curricular Activities). The Boys' Brigade of Kuala
Lumpur YMCA runs a series of activities for its members. Some
of these include:

The BOYS' BRIGADE

For all young men between 7 - 19 years of age, keen to join a uniform group.
Objective of the BB
The advancement of Christ's Kingdom among youths and the promotion of habits of obedience, reservence, discipline, self-respect that tend towards Christian character.
Activities of the BB
Athletic physical training, first-aid, basketball, volleyball, football, art & craft, drills, band, camps, outings, visitation. Youths have a chance to communicate with their peers. They are also encouraged to practice what they have learnt by serving the society (community service).
