The Kampala Principles and Challenge 21

At its first World Conference held in Paris participants developed the YMCA’s first Mission Statement, the Paris Basis. YMCA’s mission statement has been interpreted to reflect contemporary realities, first in 1973 with the Kampala Principles, and most recently in 1998 with Challenge 21.

The YMCA of Kuala Lupur has been serving the community since 1905. For more than a century, we have remained focused on our dedication towards the greater community of Klang Valley through our core Vision and Mission.

 

YMCA KL's 110 YEARS VISION

Empower, Transform, Build

On the 27th of October 2015, is our 110th Anniversary Celebration was held and we hosted a dinner on 31 October 2015 at Armada Hotel in Petaling Jaya to raise funds for our social programmes and cause driven projects as well as for the development of a propsed new building extension. We are searching for kind patronage and support as we strive to Empower, Transform and Build youths for the future!
